The cover features an image of St. George’s Episcopal Cathedral in East Jerusalem, taken by Don Binder during a missile warning. In the distance, a separate Getty Images photograph shows missiles arcing through the sky on one side and Israel’s interceptors on the other. Though appearing as a single scene, these are two different images combined to reflect the reality of life in Israel — including for those who live on and near the Episcopal Cathedral grounds — during a time when people were forced to take cover because of missile fire.
