Prayer of Praise for Thursday, by George Herbert (1633)

Come, my Way, my Truth, my Life:

Such a Way, as gives us breath:

Such a Truth, as ends all strife:

And such a Life, as killeth death.

Come, my Light, my Feast, my Strength:

Such a Light, as shows a Feast:

Such a Feast, as mends in length:

Such a Strength, as makes his guest.

Come, my Joy, my Love, my Heart:

Such a Joy, as none can move:

Such a Love, as none can part:

Such a Heart, as joys in Love. Amen.

Psalm 133

Oh, how good and pleasant it is, *
when brethren live together in unity!
It is like fine oil upon the head *that runs down upon the beard,
Upon the beard of Aaron, *and runs down upon the collar of his robe.
It is like the dew of Hermon *
that falls upon the hills of Zion.
For there the Lord has ordained the blessing: *
life for evermore.
