FAQS –

Q: How much will the plate cost me?
A: $15 – A ONE-TIME CHARGE ONLY.
Q: To whom do I make the check payable?
A: The Episcopal Diocese of Delaware.
Q: Can I drop off or send the application to the State of Delaware?
A:  No. The state requires all applications and fees to be sent to the organization’s representative. Cynde Bimbi will be the representative and liaison from the Bishop’s Office for this process.
Q: Where can I get applications?
A: From the diocesan website, www.dioceseofdelaware.net, your church office, or contact cyndebimbi@dioceseofdelaware.net, 302-656-5441, ext. 106.
Q: What do I do with my old plate and registration card?
A: Keep them. You will use them if you ever relinquish your Diocese of Delaware tags. That number plate will always be with the vehicle.
Q: Will I receive a new registration card and inspection sticker?
A: Yes.
Q: What if I just paid my registration? Will I have to pay that amount again?
A:  No. You will only pay the one-time $15 fee to the Diocese of Delaware. You will renew your tags as usual.
Q: If I need to relinquish the Diocese of Delaware plate, what do I do?
A: You will return the plate to the Delaware Department of Motor Vehicles and notify Cynde Bimbi at the
Bishop’s Office.
Q: What are my choices for numbers on the plate?
A: You may indicate any number from 11 – 9999, but please know that your request may not be granted as all numbers will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
Q: May I select an alpha in my number
A: No – numerical only.
Q: Can my number be preceded with zeros?
A: No.
Q: Can I reserve my number by phone or email?
A: No. All numbers will be granted upon receipt of a
correctly completed application and fee.
