This is to certify, that at a (Special) Convention of the Church in the Diocese of Delaware, duly called in accordance with the Constitutions and Canons of the said Diocese, and assembled in St. Anne’s Episcopal School, Middletown, Delaware on July
15, 2017.

The Rev. Kevin S. Brown

being at least thirty years of age, was duly elected by a constitutional majority consistent with the Constitution  and Canons of the Diocese Delaware, and that all requirements of the Constitution of the Episcopal Church have been complied with.

In witness whereof, the Rev. Paul W. Gennett, Jr., President of the said Convention, and Cynde A. Bimbi, Secretary of Convention thereof, have hereunto set their hands, and caused the Seal of the Diocese to be affixed, the 15th day of July 2017.

The Canonical Testimony (read by Ms. Anne C. Foster, Esquire, Chancellor of the Diocese)

We, diocesan priests attending the special convention, fully sensible of how important it is that the Sacred Order and Office of a Bishop should not be unworthily conferred, and firmly persuaded that it is our duty to bear testimony on this solemn occasion without partiality, do, in the presence of Almighty God, testify that we know of no impediment on account of which

The Rev. Kevin S. Brown

ought not to be ordained to that Holy Office. We do, moreover, jointly and severally declare that we believe the Rev. Kevin S. Brown to have been duly and lawfully elected and to be of such sufficiency in learning, of such soundness in the Faith, and of such godly character as to be able to exercise the Office of a Bishop to the honor of God and the edifying of the Church, and to be a wholesome example to the flock of   Christ.

The Evidence of Ordination Testimonial (read by The Rt. Rev. Don E. Johnson, Bishop of West Tennessee)

This is to certify that, according to the Recorder of Ordinations,

The Kevin S. Brown

was ordained to the Diaconate on June 2, 2007 by Bishop Don Edward Johnson at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Memphis, TN; and to the Priesthood on December 15, 2007 by Bishop Don Edward Johnson at Grace Episcopal Church in Paris, TN.

I hereby certify that consents have been received from the Standing Committees of 84 dioceses to the Ordination and Consecration of

The Rev. Kevin S. Brown

to be Bishop Diocesan, of the Diocese of Delaware

The Consents of the Bishops (Read by the Rt. Rev. Samuel Rodman, Bishop of North Carolina)
