Guest Speaker
The Rt. Rev. Scott Anson Benhase
We are thrilled to welcome the Rt. Rev. Scott Anson Benhase as this year’s convention speaker. Bishop Benhase brings a wealth of pastoral and leadership experience, having served parishes across the country before becoming the 10th Bishop of the Diocese of Georgia in 2010. A graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary, he also holds advanced degrees in urban leadership and ministry, and is a published author whose work draws on a Benedictine approach to parish leadership. Since 2023, he has been serving as assisting bishop in the Diocese of Florida, helping rebuild trust and nurture healthy common ministry.
Bishop Benhase’s deep faith, wisdom, and practical experience promise to enrich our time together.

We’re excited to share that this year’s Annual Convention of the Episcopal Church in Delaware will be held November 20–21 at the beautiful Hyatt Place in Dewey Beach — and we’re so glad to be heading back to Dewey! There’s something special about gathering near the water, and we’re already looking forward to being together in that space.
In August, we’ll send out detailed information about reserving your room at the Hyatt for Convention — so keep your eyes peeled. We’re also happy to report that we were able to secure a reduced guest room rate for attendees.
