Guest Speaker
The Rev. Dr. Luke Zerra
We are thrilled to welcome the Rev. Dr. Luke Zerra who serves as interim dean of the Stevenson School for Ministry. Luke also serves as the priest-in-charge at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church located in Brentwood, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. He holds an M.Div. and Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary.

- DISCIPLESHIP: Licensed Lay Ministries
All Episcopalians are called to ministry by virtue of their baptism, but what can that look like?
This workshop will explore licensed lay ministries in the Episcopal Church and the pathways for lay formation offered through the Stevenson School for Ministry.
The Rev. Dr. Luke Zerra, interim dean at the Stevenson School for Ministry, will lead this workshop.
- SERVICE: Church and Government Relations
Our mandate to care for God’s world and people compels us, morally and spiritually, to engage the world around us. How do we do this faithfully when relating to our government? From Vote Faithfully to advocating to our elected officials, the church is stepping faithfully into the public square through a variety of strategies.
Come learn how to enhance your own public witness ministry, including inspiration from our LEAPS framework of Litigation, Education, Advocacy, Prayer and Service.
We are pleased to announce that Alan Yarborough, director of government relations for The Episcopal Church and on staff of the presiding bishop, will be leading this workshop.
- GROWTH: Building Strong Church Communications
A communications workshop from
“We Should” to “We Do”.
Strong church communications require more than simply having the right tools — making them effective takes leadership, planning, collaboration, and a shared understanding of who you are trying to reach and what you want to communicate.- What do you want your church’s communications to look like?
- What’s keeping you from getting there?
- What can you, as a church leader or parishioner, do about it?
This workshop will be presented by Cynde Bimbi, director of communications and public relations for the Episcopal Church in Delaware.
