(PDF) This 177-page manual offers advice to church leaders about responsible methods of financial management including budgeting, internal controls, bookkeeping, taxes, clergy discretionary funds, audits, insurance, parochial reports and records management. The appendix lists many forms commonly used by treasurers of congregations, and provides instructions for obtaining copies of them. Samples of some generic forms are on the pages immediately following the Appendix.

The Advance and Development Committee provides financial assistance for parishes throughout the state that have a need for renovations, repairs or new construction. It also provides funding to promote growth for individual parishes.

Episcopal Church Building Fund. Despite the bland title, this organization’s email campaign has been fresh and inspiring. Take a look at their website, where you can sign up for the emails, which are short and infrequent. Going against type, they champion churches without walls.

Barnabas Fund. The Barnabas Fund of the Episcopal Church in Delaware aids community outreach programs beyond the wall of a church by providing physical fixtures that help make Christ’s presence more visible in the world.
